Scansite's work in the film indusrtry include The Matrix, Men in Black, Flubber, Deep Blue Sea, Star Wars, The Mummy, Practical Magic and many more.

We provide 3D scanning of the human body using both the Cyberware PS3030 portrait scanner (head and shoulders) and the Cyberware WholeBody scanner (shown below). Both scanners capture geometry as well as color. We also provide complete CAD services including modeling Nurbs surfaces.

We have extensive experience scanning models and macquettes for animation and film and video games. Data output can be a polygonized mesh or a Nurbs surface (iges128) model can be constructed.

Academy Award winning Cyberware Scanners....
Cyberware was awarded an Academy Award for its 3-dimensional scanners. Since the beginnings of computer driven special effects, virtually all scanning of human subjects for film and entertainment has been done with Cyberware scanners. At Scansite we use Cyberware scanners, along with our other scanning systems, for our entertainment work.
