Automotive and Aerospace

Three dimensional scanning and plays an increasingly large role in reverse engineering of automotive and aerospace parts.

In many cases, aircraft and automotive parts are out of stock. The original parts were made decades ago using two dimesnional drawings, or, in some cases no drawings exist. Most modern milling companies will only accept true 3-dimensional file formats, such as iges128.

At Scansite, we can scan scans parts and create file formats acceptable for cataloging legacy data, improving or modifying the design, and re-manufacturing.
